Professor Robin Batterham, Net Zero Australia
Robin Batterham is the Emeritus Kernot Professor of Engineering at the University of Melbourne, chaired the first stage of the Net Zero Australia project, is Chief Technologist of a major project on green steel and leads projects on fuel from air and on soil carbon measurement. He led the team to deliver the International Mineral Processing Congress, due in Melbourne in 2028. Based on his research achievements, he is an elected Fellow of 7 International Academies as well as Fellow of 6 Institutions.
Robin Batterham was Chief Scientist of Australia for 6 years and has worked in senior positions in Industry including as Global Head of Innovation for Rio Tinto.
