You are invited to connect at The Victorian Vernier Society monthly meeting is on Thursday the 12th of September at Kooyong Tennis Club:

David Rose – Managing Director – MBA, Melb Uni

“How Exquisine developed from a commercial kitchen making a range of sweet and savoury, solid and liquid, gourmet offerings to today’s custom designed facility that creates tens of thousands of desserts each day.”

David Rose and Exquisine have been in a relationship since 1987.  It started with a bang, cooled for a while, and then rekindled.  For the past 15-years it has been strong and continues to grow.

David dreamt of running a coffee shop back in the 60’s, before he was old enough to drink (coffee) and came close to realising this dream when he opened a restaurant in Perth in the late 70’s.  This introduction whetted his appetite for the world of business and finally led him to Exquisine.

Apart from the business and pleasure of good food David enjoys hanging out with engineers, playing basketball, Spring and Autumn, and exploring.

David Rose has a strong business background with many successful ventures in a wide variety of areas. Since joining Exquisine in 1986, David has nurtured it from humble beginnings – operating from premises of less than 100sqm – to its current, purpose built, site of over 4,000sqm.

David began his career in food on the west coast of Australia, owning and operating a restaurant in Perth. Upon returning to Melbourne he completed a Masters of Business Administration at The University of Melbourne before investing his talents in the local food industry.

He is responsible for the strategic direction of Exquisine with a focus on continuous improvement, export and sourcing. Added to his business commitments David is a keen basketballer and has attended five World Masters Games, most recently competing for Australia in Turin in the over 55’s men’s team.
